No any and no suppression comments

Rule

Do not write any. Take untrusted values as unknown and narrow them. Do not add @ts-ignore, @ts-nocheck, @ts-expect-error or eslint-disable comments. If a check blocks a correct change, fix the code or escalate; never silence the check.

Do

export function parseCount(raw: unknown): number | undefined {
  return typeof raw === 'number' && Number.isInteger(raw) ? raw : undefined;
}

Don’t

export function parseCount(raw: any): number {
  // @ts-ignore
  return raw.count;
}

Rationale

any and suppression comments disable the checks that the rest of the rule set depends on. The A7 governance checker rejects suppression comments independently of ESLint, so a silenced finding still fails CI. Source: Package Conventions.
