Integrated Operations & AI Tool Strategy

Unified operational strategy integrating the Solopreneur Stack (5 apps), AI tool ecosystem, and Shared Utility Mesh into a coherent development workflow. Plane replaces Linear as the central dispatch mechanism. Builds on AI Tool Optimization Strategy and the Organization as Platform model.

Dispatch Flow

Plane issue (with label + description) → Dispatch Router (label-based) → AI Tool Executes → Output committed to Git → Issue updated → Friction logged to Peppermint → Cost logged to Firefly III.

Automation Path (Phased)

Phase 1 — Manual Dispatch (Now): Read Plane ticket, decide tool, run manually, update ticket. Dogfooding phase.

Phase 2 — Scripted Dispatch (Week 3-4): Bash script reads Plane tickets via API, spawns appropriate tool in tmux. Human reviews and approves.

Phase 3 — Semi-Automated Pipeline (Month 2+): OpenCode background task system or Celery-based async queue picks up tickets automatically. Human reviews PRs.

Five-App Integration Workflows

Workflow A: New Feature Development

  1. Plane: Create epic with labeled sub-issues
  2. EspoCRM: Track app entity and shared API dependencies
  3. AI Tools: Execute per label routing
  4. Peppermint: Capture friction during execution
  5. Firefly III: Log tool costs for the sprint
  6. InvoiceNinja: Value completed output

Workflow B: Knowledge Harvesting

Plane issue → Deep Research report → Gemini CLI formats → Claude Code reviews → Aider commits → Peppermint logs gaps → EspoCRM updates entity → Google Drive archives. ~25 minutes vs 3-4 hours.

Workflow C: Friction-Driven Improvement

Friction encountered → Peppermint ticket → Plane issue for fix → Resolution → Pattern documented → Anti-pattern committed to ops-core knowledge base.

Cost Tracking (Firefly III)

Monthly ROI formula: (Equivalent Manual Hours × $hourly_rate) / Monthly Subscription Cost

Target: ROI > 3.0x. Example: 120 hrs saved × 9,000 value / $450 subscriptions = 20.0x.

EspoCRM as App Registry

Custom entity type “Application” with fields: Name, Zone, Status, Tech Stack, Shared APIs Consumed, AI Tool Primary, Last Security Review, Architecture Decisions link, Friction Score.

Relationship mapping enables “blast radius” analysis: when updating a shared API, EspoCRM identifies all consuming apps.
